Founding Members

The Chemical Heritage Foundation (CHF) was founded by joint action of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).


Heritage Council


The Heritage Council of the Chemical Heritage Foundation is charged with advising the president and staff on programming issues. The Council consists of representatives appointed by each of CHF’s affiliated organizations, plus individual members-at-large.


Board of Overseers



The Board of Overseers of the Chemical Heritage Foundation is a special group of exceptional individuals that serves as a bridge between CHF and the larger community. The Foundation extends its reach through the help of this community of individuals who care about its impressive heritage and wish to see it understood, appreciated, and utilized to educate the present and to inspire the future.

Staff


CHF has a highly trained staff of historians, science-education specialists, librarians, curators, archivists, editors, development experts, public affairs specialists, and administrative personnel.

Membership Terms How May I Become a Member?<br><br> Membership is open to any person who supports the objectives of the society. Members are drawn primarily from among bibliophiles, academic and industrial chemists and chemical engineers, philatelists, librarians, historians, and booksellers.
