Auction Update Review

The Auctions in October: High Cotton

For the week ended Saturday October 18th, 29 auctions were archived to the AED; 14 in euros, 1 in British pounds, and 14 in US dollars.  Turnover was $5,190,094 as 7,445 lots were offered and 5,863 sold for a 79% success rate.  It was a workman like performance with plenty of lots but few of the high spots we expect this time of year.  No sales reached the million dollar level.  Whether stock market and ebola were factors this past week is uncertain but likely.
