Fourteen New Catalogues Reviewed

New catalogues up for review this month.


There are 14 new bookseller catalogues up for review this month. Martayan Lan offers a spectacular collection of books from the 15th through the 19th centuries. Helen Kahn and Associates offers centuries of works related to travel, exploration, and history. James Pepper Rare Books has mostly 20th century literature and items related to film and theater.

Thomas Cullen offers a wide and sometimes unusual variety of books and manuscripts. Aquila Books is focused on the Polar Regions, Gert Jan Bestebeurtje Rare Books revisits Dutch Indonesia, the George S. MacManus Company is targeted on America's Civil War, while the William Reese Company looks at the terrible institution of slavery.

David Lesser Antiquarian Books is offering another catalogue of inexpensive Americana. Libreria de Antano presents 20 antique Spanish and Latin American works. Three booksellers, Donald Heald Rare Books, Librairie Thomas-Scheler, and the Kelmscott Bookshop, offer collections of items recently displayed at the California Antiquarian Book Fair.
