Creating Special Purpose Catalogues

- by Bruce E. McKinney

You are almost done!

Such presentations may be 9, 190 or any other number of items you select. The size of these files is entirely up to you.

You also have the option to electronically footnote this material. Such footnotes can be assembled quickly from the more than 1.4 million full text records in the AED and will provide the deep perspective that collectors appreciate.

We provide a link for each special purpose catalogue. Selecting the link brings up a cover page for you to describe your material generally, its origin and condition and why you have included it. Think of it as your introduction to the catalogue. Then enter the email address of your client and it's on its way.

A copy of this catalogue will be maintained in your account. When sales are made, whether through the other selling forms and venues or through this catalogue, deleting the item from the general inventory will remove it from the catalogue you sent. How does that work? Your message contains a link to your catalogue and when your client clicks it he actually sees your presentation in real time. You may have built the catalogue with 100 items but, if your client doesn't open the link for a week, when he does he's likely to see 93 items because, as of that moment, that's how many are available.

We will provide support by email and phone for all premium services members [that's Octavo and up] who wish to begin using this service. It's simply part of membership and it will increase sales while helping collectors to see your inventory as you do.
