JOSEPH, MICHAEL. A Book of Cats. New York: Covici Friede, 1930. 4to. Illustrated with 20 etchings by Foujita within text, plus additional suite of 20 loose etchings. Original salmon-colored cloth stamped in silver. Etchings are approximately 260 x 200 mm on 310 x 235 mm sheets (or the reverse). Cloth binding with some soiling and fading, toning to endpapers, loose etchings with some folds to edges (outside of platemarks), small marginal pink stain to one of the unsigned etchings.LIMITED EDITION, WITH THE EXTRA SUITE OF ETCHINGS, no 219 of 500 copies, signed by Foujita on the limitation page and on one of the loose etchings. The signed loose etching in this copy is of Myrrha, the first cat in the book.
