Koeman IV, Keu 22, but cf. 20B CATALOGUE NOTE The family business established by Johannes van Keulen came to dominate Dutch chart publishing until the late eighteenth century. This large compilation contains maps from the five parts of Van Keulen's original Zee-Fakkel, and includes northern and Baltic navigation, southern and western navigation, the Mediterranean, Africa, and America. Dated 1697 on the title-page, the atlas is relatively early, with the charts still in good impressions, and with bright contemporary colour so typical of their atlases.
