Rome: Giacomo Mascardi, 1623. 4. (212 x 158mm). Engraved title-page, portrait of Galileo, woodcut initials and headpiece, vignette, engraved diagrams in text. With 4 leaves of preliminary verses absent from some issues and extra leaf of errata printed on both sides at end of volume, errata slip pasted to final leaf taken from another copy. (Light dampstain to a1, some quires browned, more prominently towards end of volume.) Early vellum, yapp edges, title in early manuscript to spine (recased).
