Founded in the early seventies by Francoise and Antonio Comellas, our bookshop originally located in Paris moved several times in different towns of France before its settlement in Barcelona (Spain) in 2001. We have been participating for decades to many of the major international bookfairs, including several exhibitions in NYC, LA and SF. Now managed by Julien Comellas, the bookshop still focuses on a very wide variety of subjects including americana, history of science, medicine, travels, economics, history, manuscripts, etc.
Our website www.livres-rares.com was launched for the first time in 1998. Currently one of the most popular websites about french rare books, it contains the description of several thousands of antiquarian books available for sale, with more than 70% of these items being printed before 1800.
