Nine new catalogues are reviewed.
This month we review nine new booksellers' catalogues. Sotheran's boasts a catalogue few can match - a 250th anniversary catalogue with at least one entry for each of the past 250 years. Hordern House presents a spectacular catalogue of items pertaining to the "Great South Land," that massive but mythical southern continent believed for centuries to exist in the southern hemisphere.
Matthew David Jones has released his first catalogue. He focuses on Greek and Latin classics, along with scholarly books, but he also offers a smattering of other items, such as children's books and poetry. The Ten Pound Island Book Company presents a selection of works that relate to the sea. Back of Beyond Books concentrates on the American Southwest, but they also have a variety of other material, including fiction and books related to art. Speaking of art, the Veatchs Arts of the Book has a new selection of items pertaining to the book arts, such as fine printing and binding.
The Antiquariaat Forum is offering a collection of rare books, atlases, manuscripts and more. Between The Covers Rare Books has a selection of new arrivals. The William Reese Company presents early American maps.
