The Americana Exchange is a site for those who love history and books. Much of what we provide is free. We are building a community. Mostly we provide resources. They are extensive and inexpensive and perhaps, at some point, you will consider them. For now, simply by answering a series of questions you will become a free member. Your membership will include:

An online subscription to the AE Monthly

At least two feature stories (Articles) every month on subjects of interest to collectors

The full schedule of upcoming book auctions around the world with links to them

A personalized home page

Links to the primary selling sites

Links to libraries, shows and Articles

Interactive voting on future feature subjects and current articles

Letters to the editor (quickly posted)

Discussion groups
Articles - Every month we’ll have features on different aspects of book collecting. Typically these stories will be both text and images. You’ll be asked to grade these pieces. Interesting or not? Helpful or not? We also provide a link to future Articles so you can vote for subjects of particular interest. And if what you want to know about isn’t listed, email us your suggestions. If other members are also interested it may become a feature subject.
Auction Listings - Every business day there is on the average one book auction. No one could follow them all until now. We follow book auctions across North America and Europe, reporting on what is coming up and after the sale, what went down. You’ll see a fascinating picture of the world of books under the hammer.
